Merlin Cox is an intellectual historian working on ancient, medieval and early modern Platonism, magic and divination, and a veteran freelance editor of trade and academic books. He holds a Ph.D. from the Warburg Institute with a thesis on the renaissance of Iamblichean theurgy in the philosophy of Marsilio Ficino. He co-edited and co-translated the Compendium rarissimum totius artis magicae (Touch Me Not, 2017) and has contributed editorially to many other Fulgur publications.
